Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council – Serving the people of Elstree and Borehamwood

Calling all residents of Elstree & Borehamwood!

The Neighbourhood Plan has started its final consultation before going to an independent examination and then a Local Referendum.

Once it clears that final hurdle, it will formally become part of the statutory local plan.

This means YOUR views will carry real weight on future planning decisions AND help increase funds available to the Town Council.

Alison Eardley, adviser to the Town Council since 2022, explains why this opportunity to give your views is so important.

Neighbourhood Plan- Infastructure

Do you like the way Elstree & Borehamwood is today?

If you don't, do you have ideas about how you'd like it to  change?

Now's the time to make your ideas known, simply by completing

a brief survey.

In this brief podcast, Alison Eardley describes why this key step

towards finalising the EBNP is so important to any local resident

who wants to help shape future developments.

Voices Of Youth

Clive Glover talks to two members of the Elstree & Borehamwood Youth Council, Leo and Amelie, about growing up in Borehamwood in the 21st Century. What do they like about living and going to school locally and are there things they would like to do that they can't without travelling elsewhere?

Welcome To Berston 2043!

Clive and Alison take a trip to the future. They imagine Borehamwood in 20 years time in 2043 when it has grown and merged with neighbouring communities Elstree, Radlett and Shenley to become the new town of Berston (Borehamwood-Elstree-Radlett- Shenley Town). There will be more houses and flats but will there still be green spaces, suitable infrastructure and better public transport? Plus lots more trees? Listen to see if you agree!
