Following the recent meeting of Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council, the Council has agreed to seek independent legal advice regarding the proposed closure of St Nicholas Church of England Primary School by Hertfordshire County Council.
Specialist legal experts will now review the consultation process and related information to ensure everything has been properly considered. No decisions have been made at this stage, but this is a positive and supportive step forward for the St. Nicholas school community and is greatly appreciated.
To register your ongoing support, please leave a message at the Hertfordshire County Council's website for the proposed closure of St. Nicholas before 24th March when the Statutory Notice Period expires. After that will be too late.
Through conversations recorded with Headteacher Kate Johnston-Grant, BWR will continue to keep residents of Elstree & Borehamwood updated. School life continues as normal, its focus firmly on the children and their learning.

After 140 years serving Elstree, St. Nicholas Primary School
now faces closure.
In this first in a series of podcasts, Headteacher Kate Johnston-Grant
and her Deputy Emily Porges describe to BWR the public consultation
which has just started and the support they have already received
from parents and neighbours.
