To mark International Women’s Day, Borehamwood Radio dedicated an afternoon of programming celebrating women in music, leadership, and the local community.

From 10am, Sarah Joy Tann’s Sunday On The Record featured two hours of music by female artists, alongside reflections and conversation about iconic and inspiring women. The programme also included two interviews hosted by Sarah: Local Women Leading with Caroline Clapper, discussing community leadership, and Empowerment & Pilates with Natalie Gubbay-Jackson, exploring confidence, leadership and building a wellbeing business in Borehamwood.

At midday, Nadia T-H presented a special interview programme speaking to local women making a difference, including Kerry Brabant of Herts Musical Memories, Jackie Glover of 1st Radlett Scouts, Jana Kapustova from the Keech Charity Shop in Radlett, and counsellor and Guide leader Pat Strack.

The afternoon continued with Sarah Glover’s International Women’s Day Special, featuring music by female artists.

Together, the programmes highlighted the voices, creativity and contributions of women both locally and beyond.
